Throughout this two-day course, participants will gain a practical introduction to the role of the Script Supervisor within professional film and television production. The course explores the responsibilities of the department from pre-production through to filming, with a particular focus on continuity, script analysis, accurate record keeping, communication, and providing essential information to the director, production team, and editorial department.

Participants will develop an understanding of how a Script Supervisor prepares for a production, including breaking down and timing a script, tracking story days and continuity, and identifying information that needs to be monitored throughout filming. The course will examine the paperwork, terminology, and working practices commonly used within the department and how these support an efficient shoot and the subsequent editing process.
