This course is designed by industry professionals to introduce you to a career in the Art Department, Set Decorating and Props Making for the Film Industry.
Spending most of your time at with us Creative Media Skills Institute based in the heart of British Film, Pinewood Studios, you will meet and learn from some of the most recognised and actively working professionals across many areas.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants need to be 18 and over. It is desirable for students to have attained GCSEs English and maths but applications from candidates with good levels of literacy and numeracy will be considered for mature candidates.
A professional interview will be required.

There are many different options available to you within this group of departments and this industry led Diploma will open you up to further study or to begin a career as a trainee or apprentice for the following roles: Production Designer/ Supervising Art Director/ Art Director/Assistant Art Director/ Draughtsman/ Storyboard / Graphic Artist / Concept Artist/Art Department Coordinator/ Production Buyer/ Specialist Researcher/ Standby Art Director / Stagehand / Set finishing / Model maker/Painter / Props Master / Assistant Props Master / Standby Props / Props Model maker /Props Buyer/ Weapons foreman/ Weapons standby / set decorator/ Buyer / Assistant dresser.
Cost of Study:
If you are under 19 on the date of enrolment this course is FREE. If you are over 19 on the date of enrolment the course fee is £6000, and you can apply for an Advance Learner Loan through the government’s Student Finance website.
There is also a Studio fee which is included in the total price which supplies you will all the equipment needed.
